Coming back from another breakthrough co-operation mastermind group, made me realize that sometimes less is more.
First, the benefits of discipline. While knowing our time is limited we were more organized than the last meeting. Letting the wolves of our mind run loose, back and forth, without boundaries is fun. But, by letting it happen, we might not reach our objectives.
Secondly, constrains may actually get the best out of any situation. For a bizarre and crazy second I was almost happy there is a world economic crisis. I was almost thrilled for the mass layoffs and the upcoming recession. In a way it hurts many lives of many people. On the other hand it makes everyone check, consider and look for answers that were not that obvious before. Looking back to the human history many inventions and breakthrough came out form dire striates.
Now, imagine, how would our life look like, if we knew to co-operate in every aspect of our lives, in a responsible supportive, creative and methodical way? Wouldn’t you invest less effort and gain more benefit? Isn’t that what actually everyone wants in business and life, anyway?
